Pranksters terrify photobooth customers

IT'S an intimate moment. Two lovers share a kiss in a photobooth as the camera captures the first flourishes of what is no doubt a blossoming romance.

The last thing the happy couple expect is for the scene to be interrupted by two axe-wielding, blood-stained maniacs hammering to enter the booth.

But this is exactly what has been happening at one photobooth in the US, although thankfully the unwitting victims were never in any real danger.

The whole situation is, of course, a prank. Set-up by BlackBoxTV in an attempt to capture how silly people look when scared, the experiment has proved a resounding success, capturing the terrified reaction of dozens of people who thought they were having a simple photograph taken, only to meet with a scene from their nightmares.

The experiment begins shortly after the unsuspecting victim (or victims) enters the booth. As they wait for the camera to take a photo, hidden cameras capture them settling in their chair, completely unaware that just outside are a pair of actors wearing masks, blood-stained t-shirts and carrying weapons.

Seconds later the actors slam on the outside of the booth, trapping those inside by pinning metal fencing against the doors and screaming 'Do you want to die', and brandishing weapons.

The reactions are priceless, although the situation may be considerably less funny if it were happening to us.
