Public warned on hospital survey

MARYBOROUGH Hospital patients should be wary of signing “shonky” survey forms which could allow the unchecked public use of personal and private information, views and identities.

That was Chris Foley’s warning to the public yesterday after he was contacted by a concerned Maryborough woman who was approached outside the hospital by an LNP member.

Mr Foley, the Member for Maryborough, said, after speaking for a while, the woman was asked to sign a form from the LNP saying the party could use her name and photo for “any purpose whatsoever”.

“I know our local politicians need to fight for our hospital ... but I think you should not be approaching people at the hospital like that,” she told Mr Foley.

Mr Foley said he believed the LNP should distance itself from these “dirty tricks”.

“This type of muck-raking is just not acceptable.”
