Queensland’s best give young Hervey Bay dancers a lesson

THE young dancers of Hervey Bay's Sparks Dance Centre were paid a special visit from the Queensland Ballet education squad on Wednesday.

Queensland Ballet will perform the tragic ballet Giselle at Maryborough's Brolga Theatre on Saturday night and while they are in town, the education squad is visiting several schools in the Fraser Coast region, along with the dance centre.

The students learnt some of the choreography from the famed ballet and, since most of them will be going to see the performance at the Brolga, their dance teacher Tina Sparks said that would make it extra special for them.

The performance will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost $50 for adults and $30 for children.
