Quick thief does not hesitate in stealing a stranger's bike

IN THE fifteen minutes that a person popped into a supermarket in Pialba, their bike and helmet had been stolen.

Opportunistic thief Craig John Fletcher took the stranger's mountain bike straight to a pawn shop and pawned it for $15.

Fletcher, 49, pleaded guilty in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Thursday to fraud and theft.

He was convicted and fined $750.
