Palmer to race in Maryborough
ONE OF the biggest names in Midget Speedcar racing will be heading to the Maryborough Speedway tomorrow night.
Brendan Palmer, the newly crowned number two Australian Midget Speedcar racer, has confirmed he will be a certain starter in the Danny Davidson memorial round.
Palmer, who raced in the New Zealand International Midget Series over the Christmas break, finished second last weekend against Nathan Smee in the Australia titles, which was held at Avalon, Victoria.
Palmer will be hoping to continue his good form this weekend.
But the Midget Speedcars won’t be the only event attracting spectators to the speedway this weekend.
The third round of the Fraser Coast Modified Productions will also be held tomorrow night.
Johnno Collins is currently sitting on top of the point’s ladder and will be hoping to extend his lead.
Collins has a narrow 20 point lead over Cooroy’s Aidan Raymont.
The junior streetcars and street sedans will also be in action, giving spectators plenty to look forward to. Gates open at 1pm and racing starts at 4pm.
