Rangers inspecting burnt national park at Burrum Heads

QUEENSLAND Parks and Wildlife Service rangers are inspecting the burnt Burrum Coast National Park on Friday after a fire ripped through and threatened homes.

More than 10 fire units were closely monitoring the wind direction and fire movement on Thursday afternoon as it approached homes in Lakeside Dr at Burrum Heads.

The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service left the scene at about midnight on Thursday.
