New team to battle against South Burnett in Goodchild Shield

FRASER Coast will travel to Kingaroy on Sunday to start their defence of the coveted Goodchild Shield.

After two decades in the wilderness, Fraser Coast beat Gympie to win the Goodchild Shield in 2013-14, and then made it two on the trot in 2014-15.

With a rare three-peat on their mind, Fraser Coast will take a new-look team into battle against South Burnett.

Paul Sanders, Steve Collins, Dean Challacombe and Captain Mary Maloney are the only returning players from last year's final, but the side are confident they can go three in a row.
