FINALLY taking root, the Lupton Park Community Garden will be officially opened with a Garden Party.
ABC Radio garden guru Tom Wyatt is special guest at the event.
There are also wicking pot demonstrations, bush tucker talks, cats claw wreaths, and lino printing.
There will be a scarecrow workshop and competition with the chance to win a year's garden plot hire.
The party will feature kids activities, including a jumping castle and there will be food and live entertainment.
The park's steering committee is actively seeking sponsorships, donations and grants to further develop the facility which features include raised garden beds, bushfood and an orchard.
The Garden Party will be held at the Lupton Park Community Garden, Aberdeen Ave, Maryborough, on Saturday, November 29, from 2.30-5.30pm.
Lupton Park Community Garden working bees are held every Saturday from 8-10am at Aberdeen Ave, Maryborough.
Meetings will be held on the fourth Saturday following the working bee at 10.30am, held at Endeavour, Boys Ave, Maryborough.
