Record levels of kindergarten attendance in QLD

KINDERGARTEN attendance has reached a record level in Queensland.

Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek told Queensland Parliament that Australian Bureau of Statistics figures showed 97.4% of Queensland children were now attending kindergarten in the year before starting school.

He said the figure represented a vast improvement on 29% in 2008 and 77% in 2012.
