Red meat in Agforce's spotlight

FRASER Coast producers, butchers and restaurants have been urged to enter the 2011 Queensland Red Meat Awards hosted by Agforce Queensland.

Any business in the red meat industry can compete with people across the state in one of five categories.

They include Best Red Meat Restaurant regional and metropolitan, Retailer of the Year, Red Meat Industry Emerging Leader ad Producer of the Year.

Businesses and individuals can enter the awards which will be announced at a gala function in Brisbane on August 10.

Entries can be submitted digitally or through the mail and must be entered by 5pm on June 11.

The awards are in their 11th year and this year will focus on innovation and development in the industry.
