Relish photographic contest entries on display from Friday

ORGANISERS have received more than 65 entries to the Relish Photography Competition from right across the Fraser Coast.

The best entries will be displayed in a special exhibition at Gatakers Artspace, opening on Friday from 6.30pm.

Mayor Gerard O'Connell will officially open the exhibition and said he was impressed with the quality of the entries.

"We have some great photographers - both amateur and professional - here on the Fraser Coast and it shows in their work," he said.

Photographers were asked to show how they Savour the Moment while incorporating the local food and/or wine industry.

"Some of the entries include photos of people's favourite Fraser Coast restaurants, their morning coffee, friends enjoying a glass of bubbly to name just a few," Cr O'Connell said.

"It's great to see so many people getting behind the other aspects of Relish Food and Wine Fest.

"It's well on its way to becoming one of our signature events."

The exhibition will be on display at Gatakers Artpsace in Maryborough for the month of June.
