Residents take walk in the park to celebrate environment day

THE Fraser Coast celebrated its natural beauty with guided walks through Cook's Park at Pt Vernon on Wednesday.

To celebrate World Environment Day, Fraser Coast Regional Council community environment program officer Tina Raveneau and her team gave visitors an in-depth look at our natural wonders.

They helped identify native plants and gave demonstrations on how to grow them effectively.
