Respite from heat but not for long

SOME welcome relief from the warm weather is expected in the next few days, with temperatures set to drop by a few degrees in the middle of the week.

Yesterday temperatures in Maryborough soared to 35 degrees while Hervey Bay wasn’t far behind with temperatures as high as 32 degrees.

Over the next few days temperatures should hover around 30-31 degrees in Maryborough and in Hervey Bay temperatures could get as low as 28 or 29 degrees – a welcome relief after the weather warmed up at the weekend.

The cooler change won’t last, however – bureau forecaster Brett Harrison predicts the weather will start to heat up again heading towards the weekend, with temperatures set to soar again on Thursday and Friday.

However the Fraser Coast might get a bit of welcoming rain in the coming days.
