Rhind company gets new CEO

DANIEL Poacher, the local Urban Development Institute branch president, is the new chief executive of commercial building company Rhind Constructions.

Rhind Constructions managing director Glen Winney snapped up Mr Poacher after he finished up as manager of VDM Consulting.

“Daniel Poacher is a long-term Hervey Bay resident, he has proven to be a popular and very effective senior manager and we are delighted he will become the face of Rhind Constructions,” he said.

“Dan’s experience in construction and development and his high profile as president of the UDIA places him inside a large business network and arms him with good market information that will benefit our company.”

Mr Winney said Rhind Constructions had trebled its turnover in the past two years, despite the economic downturn.

With projects from Bundaberg to Hervey Bay, he said the company had a long and secure future as a commercial builder.

Mr Poacher said the new role was an exciting challenge and pushed him into a new field but complemented his civil engineering and development experience.

“I look forward to leading the business development and marketing of the company, securing new work and helping to shape Rhind’s future as it grows,” he said.
