Rising tennis stars on show in Hervey Bay

FRASER Coast's tennis courts will host some of the region's brightest rising stars this weekend.

Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Dundowran tennis courts will be used on Saturday for the Hervey Bay Open Age tournament.

Sunday's finals will be at Hervey Bay's Colyton St courts.

Maryborough gun Alec Braund is one to watch in the Mens Singles draw, but the teenager will come up against 24-year-old Calum Puttergill and talented Eidsvold junior Jayden Court.

Forster's Laia Pasini is the top-seeded women's singles player.

Singles qualification and doubles games started on Friday.
