River Heads Rd repair expected to begin in next few weeks

WORK to repair River Heads Rd is expected to begin within the next few weeks with a completion date of October being targeted.

A 150m section of River Heads Rd has needed repair since a landslip following the wet summer.

Division 7 councillor Darren Everard said the work would involve digging out the filled area, new internal drainage and cross drainage and a rock wall to shore up the embankment.

"Until the project is finished, River Heads Rd will remain closed and traffic diverted along Cove Blvd," he said.

"The speed limit along Cove Blvd has been lowered to 50kmh while the work is being undertaken."
