Robber targets Video Ezy

POLICE were interviewing a middle aged man last night in relation to an alleged armed hold-up at the Video Ezy store in Pialba.

A young teenage shop assistant from Video Ezy said a man came in at around 5.45pm last night and threw a bag over the counter at her.

“He just said to me fill it up and he was pointing what I thought was a gun at me,” she said.

The girl was visibly shaken by the encounter and was in tears as she related the incident.

Police arrived quickly at the scene and picked a man up for questioning just 10 minutes later on a nearby street.

It’s understood they also took possession of a replica handgun.

No one had been charged in relation to the incident at the time of going to press.
