Rockets softballers crush Terrors

A TEAM called Terrors didn’t quite strike fear into their opponents in round four of the Hervey Bay Softball Association senior women’s competition.

Rockets crushed Terrors II 19-3 at the Geoff Godfrey Softball Complex in Torquay.

Del Lanson starred with her pitching and batting for Rockets while Shaya Mackay was the pick of the players for Terrors.

In the other games of the round, Terrors I beat Angels while Incas won on a forfeit against Goolahs.

In the men’s competition, Angels beat Terrors 7-3 while Demons beat Pirates 6-3.

While the Incas club didn’t get to have a game in the Hervey Bay competition, two teams representing the club did in round three of the Maryborough Softball Association senior women’s competition.

Incas Cobalt’s impressive unbeaten start to the season continued after they beat Aztec Arrows 10-5.

Chantelle Sanders gloved a catch for Incas while Zac Thatcher, Josiah Hess and Shaun Mitchell took catches for Aztecs Arrows.

Mitchell also smashed the only home run of the game.

Young Joshua Hartwig was also in hitting home run form, smashing one for Incas Silver in the 11-2 defeat of Aztecs Apaches.

Kim Daley, Susan Barron and Kellie Chappell gloved catches for Incas Silver.

Stacey Liesegang, Deborah Creighton and Tracey Genrich all did the same for Aztecs Apaches.
