Michelle Reynolds' murder case adjourned until May 4

THE Leichhardt man accused of stabbing his partner to death has had his matter mentioned briefly in court.

Wayne Ashley O'Sullivan, 47, has been charged with the murder of his partner and mother-of-six Michelle Reynolds, 46, during the early hours of Monday morning at her Rosewood home.

Ms Reynolds' body was discovered in her bedroom with multiple stab wounds following a call to emergency services.

None of her children were present in the house at the time.

Mr O'Sullivan's legal representative Justin Thomas told Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday his client did not need to be brought up from the watch house for the brief court proceedings.

He said no application for bail could be made in the lower court given the charges his client was facing.

Magistrate Donna MacCallum adjourned the matter until May 4.

Mr O'Sullivan had family members and a group of supporters present who declined to comment outside court.
