School's out on the Fraser Coast

OUT OF Fraser Coast Anglican College in Hervey Bay bounded 69 wide-eyed hopefuls (above). St Mary’s College in Maryborough sent 51 into the world.

Right across the Fraser Coast, hundreds of Year 12 pupils waved an emotional goodbye to their school days yesterday.

“We are sending our Year 12s off into a world that is sometimes struggling to right itself, a world in which insecurity is the global norm,” St Mary’s College principal Joy Massingham said.

“You have learned the most important thing that any school could teach you,” Tony Wood, FCAC principal, said. “You’ve learned to learn.”
