Meet the alpacas

Last Band Standing
When: Tomorrow, 8pm.
Where: Hervey Bay RSL.
Details: The final four bands will battle it out in the grand final for the title of Last Band Standing.
When: Saturday, 6.30am.
Where: Run starts and ends at Enzo's Cafe, Scarness.
What: Walk or run from Enzo's to the pier and back. You must have a moderate level of fitness - if not, turn half way and do 5km. Bring sunscreen, a hat, joggers and a fun, can-do attitude.
Torquay Beachside Markets
When: Saturday 8am-1pm
Where: Torquay Esplanade, near Aqua Vue cafe and Torquay tennis court.
What: Arts, crafts, retail shopping and much more. Make a morning of it and stroll through the stalls on the Torquay foreshore.
When: Saturday, 10am-8pm, Sunday 10am-3.30pm. Finals from 2pm Sunday.
Where: Seafront Oval.
What: Fraser Coast Regional Beach Volleyball Invitational. Come and watch the pros play, including triple Olympian Josh Slack and Queensland's best up-and-coming juniors. Join the pros on court for the crowd games. A family beach party kicks off at 5pm on Saturday, with fireworks at 7.45pm.

Rock'n'Roll Social Dance

Art in the Bay

Where: Gallery 5, Sandy St, Urangan.
What: Hervey Bay Art Society's monthly exhibition provides residents and visitors with the opportunity to view the work of experienced local artists in a range of mediums. The exhibition this month is Skies, Sunrise and Sunset in a new refurbished gallery.
Rustic Emu Art and Craft Gallery
When: Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm.
Where: 888 Mungar Rd, Grahams Creek (Mungar). Look for the emu letterbox.

What: Get a team together and come down for a practice paddle before the Fraser Coast Outriggers Annual Corporate and Business Challenge on Sunday, May 26. Any businesses, clubs, corporations, schools and groups are invited to participate. You supply five team members, we supply the equipment and steerer.

Love Mary Day
When: Sunday, 11am to 3pm.
Where: Petrie Park, Tiaro. 34 Vandoorn Rd.
What: The Greater Mary Association invites the community to celebrate the local environment. There will be something for everyone with community stalls, workshops and speakers covering Butchulla stories, lungfish, Mary River turtles, koalas and other topics.

What: Learn how to make hand felted scarves, hair accessories, soaps and jewellery. Make a piece of felt yourself. Each mum that visits on Mother's Day will receive a handcrafted fragrant gift. Plant a special sunny sunflower to give to your mum.
