Mum's disgust at naked men having 'group sex' at beach

A MOTHER has warned parents to be on the lookout these holidays, after she had to remove her children from a beach where naked strangers were believed to be engaging in group sex.

The woman and her sister were at Dundowran beach with their family when a passing couple asked if they were aware that there were "two naked men" in the bushes and warned it was a "hook-up site".

After calling their children away, the women watched in disbelief as three more men arrived "took their clothes off at a certain point and then disappeared into the bushes".

Google search led them to the site Cruisinggays.com.au which voted Dundowran beach as a popular place for sex along with public toilets in Maryborough and Pialba which had attracted thousands of "reviews".

A post on Facebook warning others about what she had seen soon attracted dozens of comments from locals who insisted the popular places were common knowledge but the woman, whose parents have lived in the Dundowran area for many years, said she had no idea and feared many other parents would also be unaware.

She was also disappointed online comments had degenerated into a debate about homophobia, insisting her concerns were not about the behaviour itself, but where it was taking place.

"It's not a question of lifestyle - it's about what's appropriate in public and what's not," she said

"People are free to do whatever they like in private but I should be able to send my children to the beach without them being exposed to a live sex show."

Maryborough police Senior Constable Matt Walker said anyone committing lewd acts in public would be charged and he urged witnesses to phone police.
