Fraser Coast Show is only four sleeps away

DOGS doing tricks, the crack of an axe on a log and the sight of a ute racing a lawnmower can only mean one thing.

The Fraser Coast Show is just four sleeps away.

Fraser Coast Show Society president Garry Jensen said preparations were in full swing.

"We're going flat out getting things ready for what will be a big show," he said.

Mr Jensen said the latest events at the showgrounds would benefit the 2013 show.

"Through the legacy of the Scouts jamboree and Ulysses AGM, we're now able to use the large undercover area for entertainment," he said.

"We'll have some lawnmower racing which is something new and exiting."

Attractions this year also include the Face of the Fraser Coast modelling competition and a fun-filled Tug-of-War challenge.

The Show Society has partnered with the Fraser Coast Regional Council to offer Staycations members a free child's ticket with every adult ticket bought as part of an exclusive promotion.

The free child's entry offer is available for children 14 years and under with each full priced adult ticket.

The show will begin on Friday and finish on Saturday night.
