Nothing more than isolated showers forecast

WE'D better get used to the dry conditions because the Bureau of Meteorology says there's no significant rainfall in sight.

Meteorologist Steven Hadley said there was a chance of rain this Friday and weekend, but it would be unlikely to make up for the below-average rainfall experienced last month.

"We're not looking at anything more than isolated showers for the next few days," Mr Hadley said.

"The seasonal forecasts and rainfall outlooks don't appear to be influenced by any major factors, so it's difficult to anticipate anything other than average rainfall for the coming months.

"There are no real major influences for rainfall on the long-term forecasts."

Mr Hadley said the best the Fraser Coast could hope for was the odd chance of a trough coming through from the Coral Sea.
