Showgirl entrants will be judged at high tea garden party

ANYONE for tea?

Fraser Coast Show Showgirl Quest entrants Jayde Baker and Ashlee Schofield are inviting everyone to attend their high tea garden party on Sunday.

The Maryborough Fraser Coast Show Society will host the garden party, where Jayde and Ashlee will be judged.

Showgirl co-ordinator Candace McLeish said a nice garden party had been planned for the entrants, their families and friends, and the public.

"We definitely would love to see the community get behind the showgirl entrants," Mrs McLeish said.

"The girls represent the rural side and the Fraser Coast through other societies - these awards are a state event.

"The entrants will be interviewed and judged to find out who will be the showgirl for the Fraser Coast Show, which will be announced on May 24 from 12.30pm at the official opening."

The afternoon tea will include a mini tombola and lucky door prizes, and wine and beer will be on sale.

Mrs McLeish said even if it was raining, the event would go ahead.

"Sponsors who supported the entrants will be at the event, along with 2012 Queensland winner Jessica Robinson, from Childers, who will be one of the judges," she said.
