Siege as man threatens to blow himself up

POLICE on the Gold Coast are negotiating with a man who has reportedly poured petrol around a home in Gaven and is threatening to set it alight. 

Officers have cordoned off surrounding streets and motorists and pedestrians are being advised to avoid the area  Castlehill Drive to the north, Banyula Drive to the east, Dewberry Lane to the west and the end of the cul-de-sac on Columbine Way, News Corp reports. 

It has been reported the incident is domestic violence related.
