Sisters jump out of car before it's destroyed by fire

A DRIVER smelled petrol, heard a bang and pulled over before her car caught alight on McLiver St in Pialba on Monday morning.

Police blocked the street while fire crews doused the blazing Madza 121 about 11am.

Erin Reilly said she was driving along McLiver St, near the corner of Davis Dr, with her sister when they smelled petrol, heard a bang and her sister saw fire.

"We just, of course, jumped straight out," she said.

"It was very scary."

No one was injured.
