Sites available for Fraser Coast Seniors Expo on August 7

THE council is encouraging new exhibitors to book a site at this year's Fraser Coast Seniors Expo in Nikenbah's Hervey Bay Baptist Church on Friday, August 7.

Now in its 12th year, the expo has grown into a successful and well-attended event which offered information to people aged 50 years and over.

Councillor for community, heritage and family services George Seymour said there was always room for more growth.

"We are looking for new local business, government departments or community organisations to display their services and products," he said.

More than 80 exhibitors are expected to be involved in the expo this year showcasing a number of opportunities available for seniors including: travel, accommodation, health and social activities.

"As a new addition, we hope to create a market style atmosphere and attract local artists and crafters to set up some interesting and creative stalls," seniors project officer Julie de Waard said.

"These sites will be limited and conditions will apply, so please register your interest as soon as possible."

For more information or to book, phone Ms de Waard on 4194 2441.
