Slick moves at Bay skate park

DEATH-defying leaps, spectacular stunts and breath-taking action was all on display at Hervey Bay skate park at the weekend.

Hervey Bay hosted the third and final Slick Moves Across the Fraser Coast competition on Saturday – and for the talented youngsters who took part it was definitely worth the wait.

The skateboarding, scooter and bike competition was the last of three events organised by the Fraser Coast Regional Council before the end of the school holidays.

Bundaberg’s Jack Fahey thrilled the crowd by executing a perfect backsault during the competition – but he was far from the only competitor pulling off some amazing aerobatics.

The young competitors took full advantage of the opportunity to show off their skills and cheered each other as they did so.

The competition was open for all ages. Participants were able to enter two categories, 15 and under and Open.

Maryborough was the first to host the event on November 22 and Howard held its event on December 17.
