UPDATE: Man, 37, airlifted to hospital after snake bite

UPDATE 11am

A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after he was reportedly bitten by a snake on Fraser Island.    The 37-year-old was believed to have been bitten about 7.16pm Monday at a camp ground on Oldfield Rd and the Esplanade, Eurong.   A Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the man to Hervey Bay hospital in a stable condition.    It is not known what type of snake bit the man.

A PERSON has reportedly been bitten by a snake on Fraser Island.

The person is believed to have been bitten about 7.16pm Monday at a camp ground on Oldfield Rd and the Esplanade, Eurong.

They were transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
