Something old is new again, sale

HERVEY Bay PCYC's monster garage sale used to be a much anticipated annual event.

But after a few setbacks the PCYC had to put the event on hold for a few years.

This year it is back and bigger and better than ever and will be held on September 29 from 7am to 12pm.

Organisers have been travelling throughout the Fraser Coast over the past week, picking up items from generous donators to sell.

The results have amazed them, with everything from books, bikes, televisions, fishing gear, kitchen utensils and much more up for sale.

Administrator Penny Gomersall said the PCYC already had half a basketball court full of items at their premises.

She said it was great to have the event back in full swing as it was a great fundraiser for the organisation.

"It certainly is," she said.

"Come along and bag a bargain."
