Spots still available in M'boro to imagine city future

PLACES are still available at Wednesday night's Imagine This City forum at the Maryborough City Hall.

Imagine This City is a six-month community consultation process asking residents how they would like to shape the future of Maryborough's CBD.

It is being carried out over three stages - a community-wide survey, community forums and, finally, the development of all the ideas into a plan.

Wednesday will be the third of four forums and the Fraser Coast Regional Council has a few spots left to members of the public.

It will run for two hours and include a short inspirational film, an "imagining workshop" and a strategy planning workshop.

"With only two more forums to go we're getting closer to completion of the consultation process which, from here, will formulate a key role in the final CBD master plan," councillor Daniel Sanderson said.

"If you haven't already attended a forum, I would encourage you to register for the upcoming forum or the August forum."

A maximum of 40 people can attend each forum.
