Hervey Bay bank staff clown around for good cause

HIS favourite joke may not have been a cracker but Commonwealth Bank branch manager Bob Lynem still made plenty of people smile on Tuesday.

"Why is six afraid of seven?" he asked.

"Because seven eight nine."

Luckily, Commonwealth Bank staff in Hervey Bay joined in the fun, donning oversized pants and fluorescent wigs to raise funds for the Clown Doctors program, which brightens the lives of sick kids by visiting hospital.

Commonwealth Bank has supported the Clown Doctors for more than 15 years through the bank's Staff Community Fund and this year aims to raise $300,000.
