Still waiting on identity of remains found at Maryborough

PATHOLOGY reports on skeletal remains found on a Bruce Hwy property just north of Maryborough are yet to be finalised.

A police spokeswoman said there was no further information available.

"We're still waiting for scientific results to come back," she said.

The remains were found on September 5 with police conducting extensive inquiries, including investigations by the Criminal Investigation Branch, scenes of crime and scientific officers.

Maryborough man Bill Cross believes the remains belong to his son Robert, who has been missing since 2006.
