Streets close for tech challenge

POLICE are asking motorists in Maryborough to plan ahead this weekend before taking to the road to avoid road closures created by the RACQ Technology Challenge.

Sections of John St, Sussex St and Ferry St will all be closed from 5pm this afternoon, with a road closure already in place on Kent St near Maryborough State High School.

The closures are expected to be in place until about 5.30pm this Sunday, and motorists are being encouraged to plan an alternative route to avoid unnecessary delays.

Maryborough's McDowell St car park will also be closed to traffic from today until 6pm on Sunday.
