THE Chronicle's chief photographer Alistair Brightman has captured a stunning photo at Point Vernon of the sun setting.

Mr Brightman used a 300mm lens and a high shutter speed to capture the shot.

"There was a smokey haze hanging in the air as the sun, set so it created this beautiful orange glow," he said.

"Point Vernon is one of the best places on the Fraser Coast to capture a good sunset photo."
