Students celebrate in style

STUNNING ladies and striking young men from Xavier Catholic College stepped out in style on Friday night to celebrate their final year of high school.

Principal Kerry Swan said this year’s senior formal was yet another excellent night for the college and its students.

“The girls looked spectacular and boys scrubbed up well,” Mr Swan said. “The Hervey Bay RSL was exceptional. They cordoned off the car park while we used the side entrance.”

More than 300 parents and family waited outside for the entourage to arrive and it took one-and-a-half hours to get through the door.

Mr Swan said the students’ imagination shone through in their choices of transport that included everything from supermarket trolleys to vintage cars, stretch limousines, 4WDs and utes.

“They all had a great time and danced the night away.”
