Swift water rescue crews pull motorists from floodwaters

SWIFT water crews have rescued several people from floodwaters over the past 24 hours as heavy rain continues to fall across the region.

At 12.20am, crews responded to reports of a woman stuck on the roof of a car in floodwaters at Golf Links Drive, Gatton. She was pulled to safety by firefighters.

About 1.50am, firefighters responded to reports of two people stuck on the roof of a caravan in floodwaters near Coleyville Road, Coleyville (near Rosewood).

A swift water rescue technician entered floodwaters and pulled two people and two dogs to safety.

Authorities are urging people to remember: "If it's flooded, forget it".
