Take a Botanic Gardens Twilight Tour on August 21

RESIDENTS have been invited to take a Botanic Gardens Twilight Tour in Urangan on Wednesday, August 21, from 6pm.

Guided by Fraser Coast Regional Council's horticulturalist Lynda-Joy Dunlea, the evening promises to deliver insight into nocturnal wildlife and events.

"As beautiful as it is during the day, the botanic gardens come alive at night and people will be amazed at the amount of nocturnal wildlife to observe," she said.

Participants need to take a torch and covered footwear.

"On the night, we'll also provide a kids nature hunt - so bring them down for a bit of fun," Ms Dunlea said.

Entry is $5 which includes a sausage sizzle and drink and the evening will conclude with billy tea and damper.

Bookings are essential for catering purposes and can be made by phone Lynda on 0407 133 916.
