Tassie Truckin': John Cooley

"WELL I have been here with QLS Group Logistics now for a bit over a year, and I'd have to say I find them a great outfit to work for plus we have a really good boss which makes a lot of difference,” driver John Cooley explained.

"Some blokes don't like the idea of unloading the containers by hand, but seriously it's not that bad. But best of all, they are based in Bridgewater and that's really convenient to home.”

The Brighton local was on his return leg from Devonport to Hobart with a load of electrical goods.

Driving an eye catching 2017 QLS Group Recycling CF 460 Daf rigid with a box on a trailer he said they only run good gear, and keep the maintenance up all as well.

"Transport is a bit of a family tradition. I have been on the road personally for about 27 years now, and whilst I admit I have walked away a couple of times, I always seem to come back.”

John spends time off out in the garden and also restoring an old VH Commodore.
