A WARM-UP event leading up to the annual Bay Break has showcased the Fraser Coast's best teams.

The Stockland Mini Break challenged both male and female teams to compete, with prizes of $300 awarded to the winning teams.

The duathlon-style event was won by team Crossfit and team Bay Power.

The inaugural event attracted nine teams, which competed while about 100 spectators cheered them on.

The Stockland Mini Break is a lead up to the Bay Break, to be held on April 11.

The Bay Break is an event for all fitness levels and it is held annually on the waterfront at the Esplanade.

"The event has entries from all over Queensland and we are now getting entries from Sydney due to our direct flights," event organiser David Dwyer said.
