IN A period of just two years, a Warwick teenager has racked up an enormous four pages of criminal history and yesterday added a few more convictions to the list.

Tyson James Dennison appeared in Warwick Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to break and entry and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The court heard the 19 year old was involved in the theft of a Holden commodore back in March.

The car was used to break into a Yelarbon hotel, where a quantity of alcohol was stolen from the premises.

The vehicle was later recovered abandoned on the outskirts of Yelarbon.

Fingerprints lifted from a Smirnoff bottle in the back of the stolen vehicle linked Dennison to the crimes.

The teenager has a history of almost identical offending.

In 2011 he was convicted of a series of vehicle thefts and ram-raids across the region.

Dennison and a group of accomplices were responsible for stealing or breaking into a total of 17 cars, four businesses and two homes during July and August that year.

Several of the vehicles were used in ram raids of various hotels and then were torched following the thefts.

The most expensive of the stolen vehicles - valued at $34,000 - was set on fire and then dumped in the Macintyre River.

Lawyer Daniel Habermann yesterday conceded his client had a "dreadful" criminal history.

"One would have thought he would have learnt that committing these types of offences would land him back in jail," he said.

Dennison, who was supported in court by his mother and girlfriend, was sentenced to 12 months jail.

The father of one will be eligible to apply for parole on December 24 this year.
