Teen gave gunman a pistol in Parramatta Mosque, say police

UNEMPLOYED Sydney teenager Raban Alou handed a revolver to Parramatta gunman Farhad Jabar in the female section of the Parramatta Mosque where there was no CCTV coverage, police will allege in court.

Raban Alou, 18, was on Thursday charged with aiding, abetting, procuring and counselling the commission of a terrorist act after being detained for eight days over the shooting murder of police accountant Curtis Cheng at the Parramatta police headquarters a fortnight ago.

Police will allege Alou procured the murder weapon on the day of the shooting from 22-year-old tree lopper Talal Alameddine, who has been charged with several offences including supplying the gun.

Senior counter-terrorism sources have told the ABC's 7.30 program phone records show Alameddine and Alou met several times that day, but there is no direct evidence of the gun changing hands.

Police will allege CCTV shows Alou then meeting for several hours with Jabar at the Parramatta Mosque but again there is no evidence of the gun being handed over because during pivotal moments, the pair went to the female section where there were no security cameras.
