Teenage pair in crime spree fuelled by marijuana

TWO teens broke into houses and cars in a marijuana-fuelled crime spree across Maryborough, a court heard on Tuesday.

Jaydon Joseph Meehan pleaded guilty to attempted fraud, breaking and entering, possessing drug utensils, stealing and unlawful entry.

His co-accused, Scarlett Louise McPhee pleaded guilty to the same charges as well as unlawful entry of a vehicle.

The pair broke into a home on Errol St and stole $1200 worth of tools, and later broke into a caravan to steal more tools which they tried to sell.

Ms McPhee had also broken into unlocked cars late at night

Magistrate John Smith sentenced them each to 240 hours of community service and to pay $250 in compensation.
