Teen remanded in custody after allegedly evading police

A TEENAGER accused of evading police while his licence was disqualified will remain behind bars until June 18.

Kodi Ned Brown, 17, is alleged to have sped away from a police patrol about 10.50pm on Monday, driving a Holden Commodore on the wrong side of the road without headlights on.

After he was charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop for police, and then released, Brown was later allegedly caught driving again in the early hours of Tuesday.

Brown is alleged to have been driving while his licence was disqualified by a court order.

He appeared in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning and his bail application was refused.

The case was adjourned to June 18.
