Thai tragedy for Coffs Harbour pair

A FORMER Coffs Harbour man is dead and another is in a critical condition after a motorcycle accident in Thailand.

Details are sketchy but it is believed that 20 year old Owen Dalby, who attended Bishop Druitt College, died after being struck by a motorcycle on Monday.

The  other man and close friend of Dalby's, Glen Baker, who is a well known and accomplished body boarder,  is reportedly in a critical condition in hospital.

Owen Dalby was living in Thailand with his parents who moved there after selling the popular Tahruah Thai Restaurant on Coffs Harbour's Jetty strip.

The Coffs Hotel is hosting a benefit for Glen Baker on Friday night.
