POLICE BEAT: Female steals handbag from dining table

Torquay

BETWEEN 1.30am and 1.40am on March 15 a female offender entered a residence on Charlton Esplanade, Torquay by opening an unsecured sliding door.

The female then removed a leather handbag containing a quantity of money, personal identification and a Dave Brand android mobile phone off the dining room table.

The woman is described as being of Aboriginal descent and about 40 years of age.

Torquay

BETWEEN 3.30pm on March 13 and 5.15pm on March 15 unknown offenders attended a unit complex on Urangan St, Torquay.

They attempted to gain entry into one of the units by pulling back the flyscreen, causing damage. However, no entry was gained.

There are no suspects or witnesses.

Point Vernon

A MALE offender entered a residence on Charlton Esplanade in Point Vernon while the occupants of the residence were in the lounge room.

Between 8.10pm and 8.20pm on March 15 the unknown male offender stole a light blue handbag containing a quantity of money and personal identification that was left on the kitchen bench.

The male offender was disturbed by the owner of the residence and the offender then left the scene.

He is described as having a dark complexion with black hair and a partial beard.

Maryborough

BETWEEN 11.59pm on March 13 and 3pm on March 14 offenders approached a church on Adelaide St.

They used an unknown implement to removed a section of the brick work that was attached to the church.

The offenders then threw the brick at a portion of lead light window causing damage.

They replaced the brick to the same location where it had been removed from and then decamped.

Scarness

ALL four tyres of a vehicle were slashed in Scarness.

Between 7pm on March 14 and 7.30am on March 15 offenders approached a red Ford Fairmount sedan that was parked at an address on Nullor St and slashed all four tyres of the vehicle.

There are no suspects or witnesses.

Scarness

ANOTHER car had its tyres slashed on the same night.

Between 6pm on March 14 and 7am on March 15 offenders approached a silver Mitsubishi Magna sedan that was parked in the driveway of an address on Barilba St.

They used an unknown implement and slashed all four tyres.

Pialba

BETWEEN 6.30pm and 11.30pm on March 16 offenders gained entry to a house by cutting a fly screen.

The offenders conducted a messy search of the dwelling.

It is not known if any property has been stolen and there are no suspects or witnesses.

Aldershot

BETWEEN 11.10pm and 11.20pm offenders used an unknown implement and smashed the back quarter glass window of a vehicle stopped on the Bruce Hwy.

The offenders then unlocked the vehicle and opened the door, however the car alarm was activated.

The offenders then left the area.

Wondunna

BETWEEN 6pm on March 13 and 6.20am on March 16 offenders used a brick to try and smash out a bottom panel of glass of the after-school care building.

The glass did not smash and no entry was gained.

Pialba

BETWEEN 2.30pm and 5.30pm on March 19 offenders attempted to gain entry to the front door of a dwelling.

It appears that no entry was gained but there was damage caused to the front door and locking mechanism.

There are no suspects or witnesses.
