Vehicles and homes broken into, boat stolen

Torquay

Break and Enter

At 3am on October 2, a sneaky would-be thief approached the rear sliding screen door of a Banks Crt home and pushed their finger through the screen, undid the lock, and opened the door. The offender managed to put one foot inside when they were confronted by the owner, and then fled through the rear gate.

Break and Enter

Again on Banks Crt, between 9pm on October 1 and 6.45am on October 2, a person entered the rear yard of a house, and used a sharp tool to cut the flyscreen of the two rear doors to unlock them. The offender was unable to gain entry due to the locked glass. No property taken.

 

Pialba

Break and Enter

Between 3 and 3.20am October 2, an unknown offender entered the shed at Alice St, Pialba, and removed a bag which was opened in the yard. The thief opened the screen door to the house, however could not gain entry through the locked wooden door. They then raided the bar fridge on the patio removing a bottle of rum, before leaving.

 

Point Vernon

Steal from Vehicle

Between 9pm on October 2 and 8am on October 3, an unknown offender has entered the driveway of a property on Wattle St, Point Vernon, and used a screwdriver or similar implement to remove both front and rear registration plates from the owner's vehicle. The stolen number plate is a Queensland plate, number 257VEP.

 

Scarness

Steal from Vehicle

A car parked on Charlton Esplanade, Scarness was broken into between 8.30pm on October 4 and 7.30am on October 5. The thieves stole a wallet and house keys and a number of electrical items and cash from the vehicle. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked at the time.

 

Point Vernon

Break and Enter

At Brighton St, Point Vernon, between 10pm on October 4 and 5.45am on October 5, unknown offenders have approached the rear door of a home and forced a hole in the fly screen by unknown means. They flicked the lock and opened the fly screen but could not gain entry to the locked glass sliding door.

 

Scarness

Wilful Damage

A car window was smashed on Barilba St, Scarness, between 9.30pm on October 4 and 8am on October 5. Unknown offenders approached the victim's vehicle parked in the driveway and used an unknown implement to smash the rear window of the vehicle.

 

Tinana

Wilful Damage

Between 3.30 and 8.30pm on October 1, vandals have gone into the Tinana Primary School, Gympie Rd, Tinana and smashed four classroom windows with an object like a pole or golf stick. They did not get inside the school buildings.

 

Maryborough

Break and Enter

Four mens' wrist watches and electrical items were stolen from a home on Ann St, Maryborough, between 7 and 7.20pm on October 1.

The thief smashed the lock on the front door of the house and gained entry. The items were taken from the main bedroom of the home.

 

Oakhurst

Entry of other premises

Between 3.30 and 4pm on October 3 at Brianna Crt, Oakhurst, an unknown offender ripped the flyscreen of the front garage window and bathroom window however have failed to gain entry.

 

Granville

Stolen Boat and trailer

Police are looking for information after a boat and trailer were stolen from Raglan St, Granville between September 23 and October 3. Thieves cut the padlock to a storage shed on the property, and stole an aluminium 4.1m Seajay boat registration number LB540Q on a Redco boat trailer QLD registration BN6921.
