COAST CRIME: Socket set stolen from Hervey Bay business


Steal from shop

A SOCKET set was stolen from a Boat Harbour Dr shop between 1.50 and 2.10pm on December 6.

The unknown offender entered the store and removed the socket set from the shelf in the tool section.

He has then concealed the tools and left the store without pay.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage of the stealing.



Steal from car

A HANDBAG was taken from a car parked in a Pineapple Ave driveway on December 5.

The passenger door was unlocked when thieves took the handbag from the car between 10pm and 9.30am.

The unknown offender left with the handbag.



Break and enter

A WOULD-BE thief has broken into a Birrabeen Ave home by cutting the flyscreen and unlocking the latch on the rear security door.

The break-in happened between 7 and 8.45pm on December 3 when the unknown offender went into the home.

The owner returned, interrupting the thief.

No property was stolen from the home.




Wilful damage

VANDALS have kicked a Waigani Ave garage door so hard it came loose from its railing.

The vandals approached the garage between 3 and 4pm on December 7 where they began to kick the roller door.

The offenders have not gained entry to the home.

AN UNKNOWN offender has used an unknown object to smash a garage window on Chancellor Dr.

The offender was not able to gain entry to the garage.



Steal from vehicle

A PURSE has been taken from a car parked on Wharf St after the passenger door was left unlocked.

The offender has approached the victim's car between 12.40am and 2pm on December 5.

They took the victim's purse and left the area.
