The Waves wary of the Power

AUSSIE RULES: The Waves admit the next two weekends could make or break their season.

The three-time defending champions face Bay Power today in a grand final replay, fresh from their loss to Brothers on Tuesday.

Another loss today could see them have a record of 0-3 next week when they take on Pomona.

"It could be daunting for us,” The Waves coach Michael Sommer Liverton said.

"We would have loved to have pinched a win on Tuesday.”

The Waves player did see positives from the match.

"We took a lot out of it,” he said.

"In the end, a silly free kick and a few missed shots cost us the win.”

And that is something the side is hoping to eliminate against Bay Power.

"I watched them against Hervey Bay and they were hard at it and clean with the ball,” Sommer Liverton said.

"It will be a massive challenge but we're going to put our best team on the park.”

The Waves will play at 3pm at Frank Coulthard Oval with Brothers Bulldogs taking on the Bombers at Hervey Bay at 3pm as well.
